Everyone understands the issue with pranking, or just something as simple as a joke. But, nowadays, there isn’t much of that, and there won’t be much of the April-Fools-Day-sort-of feeling; unless you encounter something that is technically the…
WORST
THING
EVER…
Okay, I’ll get to the point:
Rickrolling.
Now, before I mention anything else, you all probably know the song ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley. Well, somehow this year, it has evolved from a totally normal song, to the world’s most common pranking technique.
Now, if you don’t know anythiing about this issue, you might be saying, “What’s so sus about this? It’s just a video on YouTube.” Well, ever since the beginning of ‘Rickrolling’, research shows that more than 50% of pranks are Rickrolls and people may be abusing the use of an innocent video.
One YouTuber (who has had many experiences of getting Rickrolled by people), Beluga, shares the most common ways to Rickroll someone. Apparently, he attempts to Rickroll someone on Discord with several ways that usually work. Here’s the video:
If someone does Rickroll you, you must fight back. This has a severe effect to the person you are and who you are to others*. The most effective way is to just Rickroll them back; normally there isn’t anything that can backfire. But if you’re unlucky like Beluga (check the video above), then you’re screwed. If you would like more content on Rickrolling, or info on how to Rickroll your friends, be sure to check out some of Beluga’s other videos. Some of them have some unexpected solutions like creating tons of advertisements at football games and even on YouTube (apparently he got into debt for that).
Make sure you stay careful on the internet, you don’t know what people might be planning…
